Warren Zevon ist heute vor acht Jahren gestorben. Auf seiner letzten CD The Wind findet sich ➱Keep me in your heart for a while. Seine Cover Version von Knocking on Heaven's Door auch. Er wusste, dass er sterben würde, auch wenn er das Datum der Prognose seiner Ärzte um neun Monate überlebt hat. The Wind ist sicher das, was man ein musikalisches Vermächtnis nennt. Hier singt einer gegen den Tod an. Er hatte seine Freunde gebeten, an dem Album mitzuwirken. Viele berühmte Namen sind dabei: Bruce Springsteen, Ry Cooder, Don Henley, Tom Petty, Billy Bob Thornton und Emmylou Harris. Es gibt auch einen Dank an David Letterman, in dessen ➱Show war er im Vorjahr aufgetreten und hatte freimütig über sein langsames Sterben berichtet.
